R U A MOD ?

This is my own personal singles selection from 4 of my teenage years, which ended in 1966.
We had won the World Cup and London and the rest of the country were preparing to get out their Kaftans and beads as many old mods started hitting the hippie trail.
The songs below are my youth and I still get them out every now and again till the kids tell me to “Turn that music down”
None of the original Temptations are alive, Otis, Rufus and Marvin have gone, most of the good record labels have also gone Soul, R&B, Ska, and Bluebeat was our music and the common denominator is that we wanted to dance.
The list is in years that they were released and the tracks are mainly American, because that was what we were into. Perhaps The Who, Small Faces and The Action were the only real mod groups around at the time but with the 45 we could play our favourites any time we liked.
Love to make an album of these songs as I am sure the kids of today would see where we were at (heard my son singing “Build me up buttercup” the other day!!!) They stand the test of time so don't be surprised if you hear a modern version of something below someday. If anyone has their views on what they thought were mod songs let me know and we can try and get a top 100.

IF YOU KNOW NONE OF THE RECORDS BELOW YOU ARE DEFINITELY NOT A MOD

IF YOU KNOW MORE THAN HALF OF THIS LIST YOU WERE PROBABLY THERE BETWEEN ‘63 AND ‘66

IF YOU KNOW ALL OF THEM WITHOUT CHEATING YOU ARE A TOP FACE AND A TASTY GEEZER (OR SALT) WHO SHOULD BE THANKFUL THAT THEY ARE STILL HERE !!!!!!
